On 5th October 2020, the Department of Customs and Excise notified that the first protocol to amend the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) to support the implementation of ASEAN-Wide Self-Certification-AWSC has entered into force on 20 September 2020. Meanwhile, there are three related measures in the Amended Operational Certification Procedure-OCP, ATIGA CO Form D, and the Overleaf Notes of CO Form that has been edited and adopted on 20 September 2020. The three related measure are:
- Measure 7: Allow the Electronically Applied Signatures and Seals
- Measure 11: Include the date of issue and the footnote of the Back-to-Back CO FORM D
- Measure 25: Continue to show the value of FOB on CO Form D in case of Regional Value Content (RVC)
However, in this first phase, if the businessmen could not provide the new form of ATIGA CO Form D, Department of Customs and Excise will continue to accept the old form of ATIGA CO Form D until 20 December 2020.
