On 8th November 2020, the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport released a notification to suspend the education at public and private schools temporary for 2 weeks in Phnom Penh and Kandal province in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the schools after Hungarian delegation visited Cambodia and later that day he traveled to Thailand and tested positive of COVID-19 on arrival.
