Two Positive Cases And Temporary Closure Of Canadia Bank (Monivong Branch) And Cathay United Bank

On 3rd December 2020, the Ministry of Health issued a press release to inform to the public regarding the result of two new positive cases of COVID-19 (in relation to the 28th November event) found on 2st December.

The two infected people are:

  • Cambodian man, ages 23 years old, live in Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, works at Canadia Bank (Monivong branch).
  • Cambodian woman, ages 21 years old (above patient’s sibling), works at Cathay United Bank.

Both new patient have been hospitalized in Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital.

Regarding to these two cases, The ministry has decided to temporarily close both Canadia Bank (Monivong branch) and Cathay United Bank for 14 days from 3rd November.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of December 2, 19 out of 8,766 people who have been tested for COVID-19 in relation to the Nov. 28 incident, found positive have been hospitalized in Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital.
