The Royal Government (“RGC”) announced, dated on 05 August 2024 on Circular on Holiday for Civil Servants, Staff, Workers/Employees and Students on the Occasion of the Groundbreaking of Funan Techo Canal Construction on 5 August 2024.

All civil servants, staff, workers, and students are granted a day off on August 5, 2024, to celebrate the official opening ceremony of the construction site of Funan Techo Canal. This applies to all ministries, institutions public and private institutions, factories and enterprises.

The day off on August 5, 2024, of employees and workers must be paid. The Minister of Labor and Vocational Training shall provide guidance to factories, enterprise and establishments to ensure compliance with this requirement.

The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports shall make instructions to all public and private educational institutions about this holiday.

All relevant parties are to implement this circular effectively and responsibly.
