The Royal Government has announced the Sub-Decree on National Single Window (NSW) system.
The National Single Window system sub-decree consists of 7 chapters and 19 articles. It focuses on improving trade efficiency and facilitation through the management and operation of the NSW system, under the supervision of the Steering Committee of the NSW Project.
This initiative applies to requests and applications for license and certificate of goods that are permitted for imports and exports.
The first category includes prohibited and restricted products subject to the implementation of free trade agreements (FTAs). The second covers goods governed by other international conventions or agreements, such as petroleum products and items sold in duty-free shopping malls. The third category includes goods exempt from taxes or duties under investment projects, as well as those imported by ministries, institutions, diplomatic missions, foreign embassies, consulates and both national and international organizations.The final category refers to goods exempt from taxes and other duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
According to Article 5, all relevant ministries and institutions are required to issue licenses, permits, certificates and other authorizations through the NSW system. Ministries and institutions shall also cooperate by exchanging data, documents and information electronically in line with applicable laws and regulations.
Furthermore, Article 7 outlines that business owners or users involved in the export, import and transit of goods may access the NSW platform. This includes officials from relevant ministries and institutions, organizations, embassies or consulates, traders, customs brokers and other individuals authorized by the implementation unit of the Steering Committee of the NSW Project.
