Special guest speaker: Ms. Sunniya Durrani-Jamal – Country Director at Cambodia Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank

Ms. Sunniya leads a capable ADB team to deliver a $1.8 billion portfolio of projects, investments and policy advisory services in Cambodia. She led the development of ADB’s Cambodia Country Partnership Strategy (2019-2023), and subsequently created special initiatives for infrastructure financing, women’s entrepreneurship, and technology enabled public services. Sunniya has devoted her career to social development, environment sustainability and education, working in over 23 countries. Within ADB, she has spearheaded the establishment of a carbon price for renewable energy projects, and strategies for increasing the share of female staff. In recognition of her services, Sunniya was awarded the Kabalikat award – the highest government award by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority of the Government of the Philippines. She has a M.Sc in Economics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan and a MA in Economics from Sussex University, UK.
