On 21st March 2021, The Royal Government of Cambodia issued Circulation No.01 on Khmer New Year holiday as follow:
1. All staff and employees of government institutions are allowed to take three days off
2. For private sector employees, the three-day holiday can be given in two ways:
– Take three days off as mentioned on the calendar of public holidays
– Employees can discuss with the employers if they are willing to work as usual in return for adding the three days to the Pchum Ben festival or any upcoming holiday as agreed upon according to the labour law.
3. Advise relevant ministries and institutions to take necessary measures to ensure security, safety, and public order
4. Advise all citizens to follow MoH safety measure
5. Appealed to transport companies not to increase passenger transport fees
