On 25 August 2021, the Ministry of Health issued the press release to inform the public regarding the COVID19 Vaccination boosting dose.

The Ministry of Health provide the instruction to the public for the type of vaccine and vaccination time interval for this boosting dose as follow:

1. For front-line officers, the elderly over the age of 60, and people with weak immune systems should get this booster dose between 4 to 6 months after receiving the full dose of the first vaccine. However, the general public should get this booster dose between 6 to 8 months after receiving the full dose of the first vaccine.

2. For the booster dose, either getting different or the same type of vaccine should not increase the side effects.

3. For those who got Sinopharm or Sinovac as the first dose can either get the same or different type of vaccine such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Moderna as the booster dose.

4. For those who got AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson as the first doses can get either AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer or Moderna as the booster dose.
