According to the letter No. 053 dated on 04th May 2020 of the Cambodia Rice Federation and letter No. 2300 dated on 30th March 2020 of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance issued a letter to the Chairman of the Cambodia Rice Federation on 13th May 2020 that the Royal Government is now resuming the export of white rice in order to facilitate agreements with foreign countries from May 20, 2020. Over the past few weeks, the Cambodia Rice Federation has been requesting the government to revise the ban of white rice exports as soon as possible, so rice millers could clear old stock and pay back debt owed to paddy farmers.
