The General Department of Taxation has announced an Announcement on Transportation tax collection for 2025.

In accordance with Proclamation No. 738 សហវ.ប្រក.អពដ dated 31 October 2024 issued by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the General Department of Taxation hereby informs all vehicle owners and the public that the transportation tax for the year 2025 shall be collected from 1 June to 30 November 2025.

Vehicles previously registered in the General Department of Taxation’s transport tax system regardless of whether they possess a tax payment card are permitted to settle their tax dues without the need to submit a new declaration form. Vehicle owners must simply present valid identification documents such as the vehicle registration card, previous year’s tax receipt, or tax sticker to enable tax officers or authorized bank representatives to verify the vehicle data within the system.

For newly registered vehicles, owners are required to submit two copies of the transport tax declaration form (Form VT001), accompanied by supporting documents including the vehicle registration certificate, owner’s ID, and a technical inspection certificate for goods and passenger vehicles.
